Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi Opens Up About Cervical Cancer Scare
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, star of the hit reality TV series The Jersey Shore, has revealed that she recently discovered cancerous cells in her cervix. In an emotional TikTok video posted on January 23, 2026, Polizzi shared her harrowing experience and urged other women to prioritize their health by getting regular screenings.
“Results come back. Doctor calls me and he’s like, ‘Not looking great.’ He found cancerous cells on the top of my cervix,” Polizzi said through tears. “I’m terrified.
It’s scary, but we have to get it done because cervical cancer is nothing to joke about.”
The 38-year-old reality star has been dealing with abnormal pap smear results and precancerous cells for approximately four years. She recently had a colposcopy and biopsy, which she described as “uncomfortable.” Polizzi now faces the possibility of undergoing another cone biopsy under anesthesia.
Facing Further Testing and Possible Surgery
“Obviously I’m done having kids but, as a woman, the thought of getting a hysterectomy is just sad and scary,” she said. “Getting the hysterectomy and then not being able to have kids, I think that’s what’s killing me.” However, Polizzi emphasized her commitment to staying healthy for her three children with husband Jionni LaValle.
“Ladies we are in this together 🙏🏽” she added in the caption of her TikTok post. “The reason why my doctor’s on my ass all the time is because I waited. I waited on my damn appointments because I knew I might not get great results but also because I didn’t want to feel the pain. I didn’t want to deal with the stress of having to deal with all of this,” she explained.
Calling for Awareness and Early Detection
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is using her platform to raise awareness about the importance of routine health screenings. She admitted that she had delayed her appointments out of fear, hoping to avoid dealing with uncomfortable procedures. However, this delay has led to a more serious situation.
“The reason why my doctor’s on my ass all the time is because I waited,” Polizzi said. “I waited on my damn appointments because I knew I might not get great results but also because I didn’t want to feel the pain.
I didn’t want to deal with the stress of having to deal with all of this.”
She urged other women to make their appointments and emphasized that early detection can prevent serious health issues: “Just making this video to spread awareness to make sure you get your pap smears. And if your doctor calls you to do it again, do it,” she said. “Make sure you’re fine and prevent all the bad things that could happen, like cervical cancer.”
