The Departure of Kate Mansi from ‘General Hospital’

Kate Mansi, the fiery Corinthos-Davis girl who graced the screens of ‘General Hospital’ for three years, is saying goodbye. It’s understood that her final episodes will air in June. News broke first on Soap Opera Network and was confirmed by soap journalist Stephanie Sloane with a statement from Mansi herself and showrunner Frank Valentini.

A Memorable Run

Mansi joined ‘General Hospital’ after a nine-year run on NBC’s ‘Days of Our Lives,’ where she played Abigail Deveraux. She brought her fiery spirit to Kristina Corinthos Davis, making quite the impact on fans and critics alike. In 2025, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for her work on ‘General Hospital.’ Her transition into directing also added another string to her bow, with two episodes under her belt.

Reflecting on the Journey

Mansi told Sloane that leaving the show was her decision. “I’ve loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family,” she said. Valentini echoed Mansi’s sentiment, stating, “We love Kate and support her decision to leave.” He added, “The door is always open and we appreciate all that she has added to the show these past three years.”

A New Chapter

Mansi’s other credits include the Amazon/Freevee drama series ‘Casa Grande,’ which aired in 2023. Earlier this month, a ‘Casa Grande’ film debuted on Prime Video. She has also starred in the indie feature ‘Legend of the Muse’ and toplined the 2019 NBC miniseries ‘Days of Our Lives: Chad and Abby in Paris.’
