Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, a proud father of two daughters, has joined forces with XX-XY Athletics to promote gender equality in sports. The company, founded by former Team USA gymnast Jennifer Sey, seeks to build high-quality gear and foster belief that strength isn’t toxic but necessary.
Meyer’s Role as Ultimate Girl Dad
As the “Ultimate Girl Dad” brand ambassador for XX-XY Athletics, Meyer is committed to standing up for women’s rights in sports. He expressed his support through a statement: “Weak men are rewriting the truth. Real men stand up to protect it,” he said. “Women aren’t weak — they’re sacred.
They shouldn’t be protected out of pity, but out of value.”
Meyer emphasized that men must honor women and not control or silence them. He added, “This isn’t just a brand. It’s a line in the sand.
XX-XY Athletics builds high-quality gear, but more importantly, it builds belief — belief that strength isn’t toxic, it’s necessary. That masculinity and femininity are both sacred.”

XX-XY Athletics was established in response to the need for a brand that aligns with values important to athletes who want to protect women’s sports. Jennifer Sey, a former gymnast, founded the company with the mission of giving athletes who value fairness in women’s sports a platform that supports their beliefs.

Partnership with XX-XY Athletics
Meyer’s reenlistment in the Marine Corps Reserve on April 17, 2025, adds another layer to his multifaceted career. His partnership with XX-XY Athletics represents a significant step in his support for women’s sports and gender equality.
