When asked about women’s strengths, Keery notes, “Communication is what sets them apart. When someone’s funny, it creates an immediate back-and-forth that’s exhilarating.” He adds, “I love to cook. Shrimp scampi and some wine are a favorite in my repertoire.”
Inspiration and Education
Keery credits his mother for starting a charter Montessori public school in their hometown. Despite struggling academically at times, he found success through this alternative education approach: “She started it because she was unhappy with the education system. I thrived and loved it.” He admires her for making this significant change while also raising five children.
Keery reflects on his career journey, highlighting influential women like Winona Ryder, whom he admired as a child but came to respect deeply as an adult collaborator: “She’s been to a million shows.
It’s cool to have someone who’s just really excited by all of this.” He describes her as “an encyclopedia” eager to share knowledge and passion.
