According to reports, two officers responded to a fraud call at a Holiday Inn Express located on East Park Place Boulevard around 7:30 AM. Upon arrival, they encountered someone who opened fire. The officers returned fire, hitting the suspect, but not before one of their own fell in line-of-duty.
