Football Influencer Denies Affair Rumors with LSU Quarterback

A Louisiana-based football influencer, Peighton Tubre, has addressed rumors of her having an affair with LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier after a “fake” article on Facebook suggested otherwise. Tubre, 26, took to her Instagram account to deny the claims, saying they are all false.

Addressing the Rumors

In a video uploaded Wednesday to over 200,000 followers, Tubre directly addressed the rumors that had been circulating. “I’d like to address some of the fake news that has been circulating about me on the internet,” she said. The article claimed that Tubre and Nussmeier were seen entering a hotel room together just before one of his games.

Tubre expressed her initial reaction when she first saw the article: “When I first saw it, I didn’t pay much mind because it wasn’t true and I didn’t want to draw attention to it. It had 30 likes at that time.” However, Tubre’s hopes of the rumors dying down were short-lived as they only escalated further.

The Escalation of Rumors

According to Tubre, another article was posted claiming that Nussmeier sent her unsolicited photos, which she subsequently shared on social media. “If you follow me, you know I didn’t post anything like that,” she added.

Tubre called out the page posting these articles, saying it claimed to be an LSU fanpage but was spreading false information during Alabama game week. “They claim to be a LSU fanpage, but posting THIS during bama week is opp behavior,” Tubre said in her video.

The LSU Season and Beyond

Garrett Nussmeier recently proposed to his hometown sweetheart, Ella Springfield, in July 2025. The rumors of the affair have come as LSU navigates a disappointing season following the firing of head coach Brian Kelly last month. The Tigers currently hold a 5–3 record and are set to face Alabama on Saturday.

“I’m almost positive these fkn articles are just straight AI,” Tubre concluded in her video, questioning the authenticity of the rumors spread through social media.
