Entertainment icon Denise Richards, 54, celebrated Halloween by drawing parallels to her past as a Playboy bunny. The actress posted a series of photos on social media, donning a black bodysuit with matching ears, reminiscent of her iconic Playboy cover shoot from over two decades ago.
A Return to the Playful Past
Richards first posed fully nude for Playboy in December 2004, just five months after giving birth. She shared memories of that photoshoot, mentioning how she was initially in trouble when the stylist provided “no bottoms” for one of the shots. Richards recalled making a pair out of leaves from the island where they were shooting.
“I said, you better find me some fricken bottoms. So she made these bottoms out of a shammy and used the leaves from the island,” Richards said. “I didn’t have to show anything I didn’t want to.”
Legal Battles and Personal Struggles
The actress is currently embroiled in legal battles with her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers. On July 17, she was granted a temporary restraining order against him amid ongoing divorce proceedings. Richards testified about multiple allegations of physical and emotional abuse, including an incident at the Four Seasons hotel shortly after undergoing cosmetic surgeries.
Richards described how Phypers allegedly hit her face during that encounter, resulting in a black eye. She also mentioned another instance where he grabbed her arms while she was recovering from surgery, causing further distress.

In court documents, Richards detailed several instances of abuse, including being choked, slapped, and threatened. Phypers has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking spousal support. He claims Richards is preventing him from making a living by cutting off access to their joint bank account and taking away his holistic business equipment.
“Throughout our relationship Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back,” Richards testified.
“With regard to the OnlyFans page, the money that she receives from it is about $200,000 to $300,000 per month and that income is derived from photographs that I took and to which I hold the intellectual property rights,” Phypers’ petition states. “Therefore, it is our joint earnings and not hers alone. I request that I receive half of the OnlyFans income as a property control right.”
Continued Legal Tensions
The court has already seen Phypers handcuffed and arrested on spousal abuse charges during a hearing last month. He now seeks immediate access to $200,000 to prevent potential eviction from his home and the shutting off of utilities.
