New Distinguished Alumni Award Honors Nancy Samir-Haddad Derleth

Nancy Samir-Haddad Derleth, an associate with Warner Norcross + Judd LLP in Midland, has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) and the legal profession. She will be honored at the Distinguished Alumni Celebration on November 13, where she will receive the 2025 SVSU Distinguished Alumni Award.

Derleth received the Graduate of the Last Decade Award, an accolade given to alumni within ten years of graduation who have demonstrated significant professional achievement and civic service. As part of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group, she focuses on labor and employment law, complex commercial litigation, and real property disputes.

Brian Tessin Joins Isabella Bank Board

Isabella Bank Corporation has appointed Brian Tessin as a member of the Isabella Bank Board and the Isabella Bank Corporation Board of Directors. With over 30 years of experience in tax and financial leadership, Tessin serves as Chief Tax Officer for Dow Inc., overseeing all aspects of tax strategy, planning, compliance, and financial reporting.

Tessin’s diverse background includes roles at Albemarle Corporation and Dow Corning Corporation, where he accumulated significant expertise. His appointment underscores the bank’s commitment to enhancing its governance and strategic direction through his extensive experience in corporate finance and tax management.

Sam Price and Heidi Monaghan Appointed by Governor Whitmer

Two Midland residents have been appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to serve on state boards, contributing to the development of policies that impact their communities. Sam Price, president and CEO of Ten 16 Recovery Network, has been reappointed to the Michigan Opioids Task Force for a term commencing October 14, 2025.

Heidi Monaghan, chief executive officer and owner of Foot & Ankle Specialists of Mid-Michigan, PC, has been appointed to the Michigan Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Her appointment represents her expertise in podiatric medicine and will contribute significantly to policy-making related to foot and ankle care.
